This session will highlight the benefits of multicultural teams in a virtual environment. Many practitioners are frustrated by cultural differences. However, cultural orientations can be used as a strength on virtual teams, creating solutions that are impossible to achieve in unicultural environments and that can help to prevent conflicts.

Transformation refers to an organization achieving a sustainable quantum-leap improvement in performance while transforming the mindsets of employees and thus the culture of the organization. However, seven out of ten business transformation initiatives fail to deliver the expected results. Project managers are required to make good decisions under huge amounts of pressure and time constraints. Studies confirm that 95% of these decisions are the result of an intuitive approach and not of rational logic. What can we do about it? In this session, we will reveal some of the most important mental traps that can impact our decisions and, through a series of real-life experiments, we will discuss practical ways to avoid them.
